This series begins with ScholarShipBound. In Shaara of Westla, Shaarvan saves his wife from being a slave on Freinana, and carries her off to Westla, the artificial planet of the Shapechanger. She begins training with the Priestess Tessa, and for a short time there is happiness, but war on Altar threatens, which leaves Shaara under the protectorship of four huge Warrior Shapechanger.
