After getting her BS degree in business at San Jose State University, Penelope Casey lucks out with a good job at a legal insurance firm. The Land of Dragons and Dreams

This series begins with ScholarShipBound. In Shaara of Westla, Shaarvan saves his wife from being a slave on Freinana, and carries her off to Westla, the artificial planet of the Shapechanger. There she is reunited with her son, Shaarac and with her lost memories. She begins training with the Priestess Tessa, and for a short time there is happiness, but war on Altar threatens, which leaves Shaara under the protectorship of four huge Warrior Shapechanger.

One of them is supposed to be her temporary husband.

Shaara, a young woman, stolen from a California college, finds herself immersed in a culture she often doesn't understand.
